Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some questions that I get asked from time to time.
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
Are there any travel costs?
For all UK based weddings, travel is included in the price you pay. For weddings outside of the UK, an additional travel cost will be incurred, which I will always look to make as low as possible (I don’t mind flying with budget airlines, there are no diva demands here!).
How long are you with us on the day?
That choice is entirely up to you. I can be around as much or as little as you need me to be, with all of my time included in the price you pay. There are no extra charges for me arriving early or staying late, and you won’t find me watching the clock for “finishing time”.
How many photos will I receive?
I don’t put limits on the number of images I take on the day, and there is no quota to meet. I work on the basis of quality, rather than quantity. You will receive all of the photos that I take on the day (minus any photos where people are blinking, yawning or are stood in unflattering poses). All photos are fully edited, watermark free and presented on a personalised USB stick.
Do you charge extra for editing?
No. All of my images are fully edited, and this is included in the price you pay. I don’t use presets, templates or cut corners with anything I do. At the same time, if there is a style of photo that you like the look of, and want emulated on your own wedding photos, please feel free to ask, I am not offended at suggestions from my couples.
How long does it take before I receive my images?
My turnaround time for wedding photos is 1-2 weeks, depending on what time of year it is. I like to make sure that I do the job properly, and can give you photos that you are happy with. However, I realise that there is a lot of excitement that surrounds a wedding, so I do post some sample images on my social media pages within a couple of days of the wedding, so you can get a flavour of what is to come.
Do we get you on the day?
Yes. I don’t employ anyone, use a trainee, or outsource anything that I do.
Do you offer printing or wedding albums?
Yes. I also offer prints, canvases and/or wedding albums, depending on what you require. These can be pre-ordered before the wedding, so they are ready for delivery with your USB. Alternatively, any printing services can be ordered after the wedding, once you have seen your finished images. All print services are an additional cost to the wedding package
What equipment do you use?
I invest heavily into the equipment I use, to make sure I can provide you with the best quality images. I use 2 full-frame DSLRs, with a variety of lenses throughout the day, to capture all of the best moments. I also carry a classic Polaroid camera, so if you would like an instant-photo, just ask! When things get dark later in the day, I bring out the flashes to make sure that no moment goes unnoticed.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes. If your wedding is in the off-peak season (November, December, January or February), my price is reduced to £595, saving you £100. The package is the same, only the price is different.
In addition to this, you can book an engagement shoot for £100 (usual price £150) when booked at the same time as your wedding package.
